You can almost smell the oil and grease in this photograph taken in one of the old engine sheds up at Carnforth in Lancashire, UK.

The engine is a Battle of Britain Class locomotive, 34067 'Tangmere' - one of a total of 110 locomotives like this, constructed between 1945 and 1950.
